Frontiers in Environmental Science publishes a special issue addressing how institutions must adapt or transform into entirely new ones to better accommodate for incremental and abrupt changes to our society resulting from climate change and climate disasters.
The variety of these institutions is broad: from policies and laws to informal agreements. The intention of studying their role in climate change in combination with environmental, behavioural, and technological factors is to unveil solutions for climate change mitigation and adaptation.
Researchers from different disciplines are invited to work together to find ways how institutions can be incorporated in climate models for a more comprehensive climate risk assessment.
The deadline for submitting abstracts is March 30, 2022.
