This year’s theme for World Commons Week is Learning, Unlearning, and Evolving: Commons In Classrooms, Communities, and Beyond. The theme largely revolves around Ostrom’s 8 Design Principles for Commons Governance. We hope that the discussion during the WCW 2025 events will support bringing in perspectives from people who are actively living and practicing Ostrom’s principles.
We celebrate World Commons Week 2025 by offering daily video presentations from each of the IASC Regions, live-streamed events, and in-person events. New videos will be added to the World Commons Week 2025 Video Playlist daily.
