Join or organize an event

IASC is a member-based organization. Meetings bring together commons scholars and practitioners from Europe and all over the world. Therefore, members are invited to join or host IASC events and conferences and share information about own events related to the commons.

There are two different types of events: IASC organized events and events organized by IASC members. IASC organized events have to be approved by the IASC council whereas IASC is not a formal partner of events organized by members. Interested in organizing an event? IASC organized events include regional and thematic conferences and give our members the opportunity to expand their networking with both global and regional commons scholars and practitioners and place a spotlight on the needs of people dependent on commons in Europe or in any given region of the world thats is focus of the conference. Keep an eye on calls for proposals to host an IASC event on the IASC website.

If an IASC member is organizing an event related to the commons, the member has the opportunity to share that information on the homepage of the IASC Europe website with broader audiences and through the newsletter with all the IASC members.
